Chasing Dreams isn't simply another informational documentary about storms, it is a heartfelt story of two men trying to make sense of an irrational obsession. Beyond the adventures of tracking tornadoes, it takes an intimate look at coming to terms with loving something arbitrary, unpredictable, and destructive.

The film follows Jeff Mangum--a husband, and father of three--and Jeremy Hamann--a fulltime student and husband--as they travel throughout the United States Midwest in search of Jeremy’s first tornado, and Jeff’s first EF-5 tornado -- the most elusive and strongest of any storm on earth. In pursuing their life-long fascination with storms, Jeff and Jeremy begin to confront the idea of loving something that causes unspeakable destruction. As they face, first-hand, the power of these storms, they are forced to question the decision to leave their families for days at a time to drive into potentially lethal situations. How far will they go to pursue their dreams of storm chasing, and at what cost? Through interactions with friends, family and other storm chasers--and by facing some of the world’s most ferocious weather--an epic story of self-discovery unfolds.
